Reno-Keno

  • Description
The game box contains 12 individual Reno-Keno designed boards showing pictorial poker combinations of 25 random playing cards in a five by five grid (no two boards are alike), a dual receptacle playing card holder, and a box of wooden markers for marking the cards depicted on the Reno-Keno boards. Each player is randomly assigned a Reno-Keno board and a quantity of markers for checking off the cards depicted on the board. Play is commenced 'bingo' style, but with a standard deck of cards (not supplied with the game) used instead as the number generator(jokers removed). Each card turned up from the pack that matches the same illustration on a players board being marked as such. A player wins when five called cards have formed a diagonal, horizontal or vertical pattern on a players game board. A number of winning play variations are provided, including: 1. The winner receives all the markers placed on the other boards. 2. The winner receives a reward based on the poker hand value of the five in a row. 3.The winner receives a portion of a predetermined jackpot as per the following schedule: (a) The first player covering the center spot card nets 20% of the pot. (b) The first player covering all four corner cards nets 30% of the pot. (c) The first player obtaining five in a row nets 50% of the pot. If this happens before either of the two preceding are achieved, then those relevant portions of the jackpot remain in the game and are added to the next rounds pot. 3. The dealer continues to turn over cards until all players have five in a row, at which time the player with the best Poker hand wins. - BoardGameGeek
