Le Jeu du Tour de France Spirou

  • Description

Belgian cycling game about the Tour de France released in June 1960.

This roll and move game inspired by the Game of Goose was published in four consecutive issues of Spirou (issues 1158 to 1161) during the summer of 1960.

The game is played in multiple stages covering the full Tour. For each stage, a common track and common rules are used for the first 80 squares. However, the last 20 squares of each stage are played on different tracks using different rules and some stages are played with completely different rule sets. Time trials, for example, turn into timed dexterity contests. Points are earned for every stage and overall rankings are tabulated.

The "tour de France "is a game you play with your partners during the Tour. The game is played after each race day! It therefore takes place over 21 days.
The race is held every day except on rest days, in 100 boxes. Every day we borrow the "common path"of 80 boxes (A3 format) which is added the "arrival" to clean the day's stage, which consists of 20 squares numbered from 81 to 100
The principle is based on the play of the goose (down 10 boxes, pass your turn...), except that one gets different bonuses depending on the arrival of the day: winning team of stage, team stage's winner, leader team , yellow jersey ...
After each step, there's a classification of stage and general classification, which provide different points.
